Fourth of July Weekend
Starting off our Fourth of July Weekend with a cruise through the Alpine Loop. Love those mountains!
After a nice drive and ice cream at Grannies we had fun night of lighting up sparklers and fireworks, Corbyn's favorite!
Chloe's is not sure about the fireworks, she likes to look at them but scared at the same time.
Aspen & Kenzie, best friends!
Little Mia our cute little neighbor
Just a few of the neighbor kids who came to watch the show!
Watching the Provo Parade, a family tradition! The kids were hot but still had fun!
Aspen's Choir concert at our very first political rally! Yeah Republicans, I think.
So this is what America's all about? OK
Opening ceremonies
Our favorite American Fork Band
Local Military helicopters doing a fly-by.
Shedaisy jammin out on stage!
Fire dancers because it is Stadium of Fire!
I just had to video the Jonas Brothers about to bring it on stage, the crowd was crazy!
The Jonas Brothers! Oh Yeah!

The girls rockin out to "Love Bug" (Kenzie's favorite song).
The flag that was retired at the end of the night.

What a great weekend! I don't think we could have packed any more activities in one weekend. First we went on a drive through the Aspen Loop, then a break at our favorite ice cream shop in Heber, Grannies, then back home through the Loop one more time! The kids were begging for fireworks so we had a neighborhood party and did fireworks in the street in front of our house. We got up early on Saturday morning to see the Provo Parade and saw a lot of fun floats and our favorite band, American Fork High School (they played at Calvin's Band Concert and are amazing!), and of course the highlight, the BYU float. We then head to the mall for a little air conditioning and some Chick-Fil-A, then we attend our first Republican extremist rally! We went to go see our neighbors girls preform in their choir, but both our neighbors and us didn't know we would be apart of a political rally. Pretty funny! My neighbor is from Japan and she said,"That was my first cultural experience with politics and the 4th of July." I don't know if it qualifies as culture but it was a first for me too! Then off to wash our clothes and rest until the long awaited Stadium of Fire and the Jonas Brothers! The concert started at 8:00pm. Glenn Beck was the MC and SheDaisy was the opening group. The American Fork Band played, their were fire dancers, Center Stage Dancers preformed and of course the Jonas Brothers rocked the stadium. There were so many girls screaming, including mine, and guitars jamming, we had a blast! Chloe even stayed awake for the whole thing! The fire works were amazing and we got two shows because they retired the flag that hung at stadium of fire for many years and at the Olympics. They burned the flag and it was a very patriotic ceremony. Then more fireworks because it is called Stadium of Fire! The whole thing was being broad casted to over 1000 military bases around the world. I love America! Then a long walk to the car and off to home for bed! Sunday Jeff and Peg were in town so we headed to a local park by Dan & Angela's for a little family fun! There was desserts and snacks, bochie ball, football, underdog and Chloe eating anything she could off the ground. Jamie's Jordan and Katie came to sleep over on Sunday so there was more fun to be had. All and all a very fun filled weekend. Happy Fourth!
