Decorating Cookies for Christmas

What a fun time, we decorated gingerbread cookies for Christmas. These are definately my ultimate favorite cookies! Thanks to Annie for introducing us to these cookies, and Aunt Steph for the recipe. Yum-Yum! The only downside to making them, besides wanting to eat them all, is the batch makes about 70-100 cookies! So of course we invited Aspen, Sadie, and Miya over to help us decorate and eat them. Its great to have good friends!
The maker of all good icing! Yummy!
Miya and Sadie, Cute sisters!

Concentrating on decorating cookies

Corbyn says this activity gets "two thumbs up!"

Corbyn, always the jokester!

Sadie, Corbyns friend!

Aspen took a break from her book report to have a little cookie fun!

This project is right up Kenzie's creative alley!

Even Calvin loves it in the kitchen, he wants to be a chef, the next Alton Brown.

You've got to love Good Eats! The only picture I have and probably will ever have with Calvin smiling that big. I told him to smile and this is what a 13 year old does to get back at me. Love ya, Calv but the jokes on you!

Mom's cookies! Go Me, look at that star!

Kenzie's Creations! I think she ws there late into the night decorations away!

Calvin's Cookies!

Even Chloe got in the action...the eating action!

Yeah, Cookies! More! More!

The Cookie Clan!

Nice teddy bear, Calv!

Yeah, another cookie, that's 3 so far!

Kenzie had to get into the Christmas spirit with her Santa hat!
Nice flower on his sweater!

How cute is the detail on Kenzie's cookie...little gingerbread garland!

Corbyn's Christmas Violin Concert

Corbyn had her violin concert and she did very well. We also found out, to our surprise, that she is in a group with 5th and 6th graders. I was very to surprised at this announcement because in the summer program she was young for that group, with 3rd and 4th graders. I thought she moved up with that group but obviously not. She was so cute and they all played very well. It was really great because G'ma & G'pa came up to see her play and she got to show off what she has been learning. Love ya Corbyn and keep up the good work on the violin!

Grammie came for a visit

Grammie came to Utah and we were so excited to se her. We went to Aunt Sally's to see her and I had to pry them away from their cousins, Kayley and Lizzie when it was time to go. We love to see Gram and definatley can't get enough of her. We can't wait until April for her to come again. We love you Grammie!

Chloe lovin' Christmas!

I couldn't pick which ones to put on the blog so here is all three! She danced to these penguins over and over throughout the Christmas holidays! And then she pulled them out of the Christmas tubs and played witht them through January! She does love her Christmas music!

Our annual Christmas Tree Picking!

The kids were so excited to go and pick a Christmas Tree this year. They love having fun at the Christmas Tree Farms in the past: riding on the hay ride, going down the slides, feeding the goats and best of all drinking hot chocolate. But to our dismay we couldn't find a tree farm in our area. Two years ago we went to a farm in Texas and it was great! But although we couldn't find a farm, Thanksgiving point had great trees, hot wassil, cookies and best of all a REAL reindeer! We took the neighbor girls and had a blast listening to Christmas music and trying to feed the reindeer. (He wasn't really interested in eating our food. Kenzie, the animal whisperer got the closest to him.) We had a fun time and got a great tree! Merry Christmas!

Corb, Sadie, Aspen, Kenzie, Calvin, and Chloe
Chloe loved the reindeer so much she didn't want to leave.

Kenzie and Aspen lovin' the reindeer!

Sadie and Corbyn, why won't the reindeer eat our food?

Picking our tree and goofing off a bit!

Who votes for this one??? Me, Me, Me!
