Our first Thanksgiving with just our family. I was kind of bummed at first when I realized that no one was coming to visit, but it turned out really fun. It was our first year to do a turkey on our own. We watched a lot of Food Network and decided what we wanted to make for dinner. The kids all helped and it turned out delicious! We had an amazing turkey, compliments of Chef Eric, cornbread stuffing (The Neeley's recipe), regular stuffing(in case the other didn't turn out), homemade croissants, green bean casserole,and a yummy spinach salad. Oh and don't forget dessert...pumpkin cheesecake and mini apple or cherry pies. We had a great time spending the day together and although we always love to have other family on the Holidays, sometimes its great to just keep it simple. The best part was the next day we made leftover, turkey and stuffing egg rolls with cranberry-orange dipping sauce. The kids want to have turkey again just so we can make the egg rolls!

New Moon is out...that means Girls Night Out!

What a fun night of dinner and a great movie, New Moon. My friend rented out the theatre and we all bought tickets to go. (Thanks, Kiersten, can't wait until June to see Eclipse.) We went to Rubios for dinner and a fun night at the theatre of girl's screaming over Jacob and fun raffle give aways. I on the other hand am a true Edward fan so there wasn't any screaming from me. I had a great time and am blessed to have such great friends in my life! Love you guys!

The Annual Halloween Party

Once again we had a fun Halloween party...yummy chili, treats, fun, and lots of trick or treating. Thanks to all those who came: the Petersons, Hansens, Judy, and the Stevens. We love you all and can't wait until next year.

Since Kenzie's birthday is the day after Halloween, she is forever begging for a Halloween Party. This year she got it! What fun...we painted "Halloween" nails, decorated cupcakes, and watched "The Haunted Mansion." What a fun time! The kids stayed for our annual Nicol/Elmer Halloween Party and trick or treating to end the night. We love you Kenz and Happy Birthday!
