Sunday Sept 28th, Calvin received his Faith in God Award and received the Aaronic Priesthood. We were all excited, especially Corbyn, because he will now pass the sacrament. We were so blessed to have both sets of Grandparents come from Texas and the Bishop told Calvin how lucky he was to have such a supportive family. I have to agree! Without both of our parents being great examples and encouraging us to do what is right, we wouldn't be here now to teach Calvin and be apart of this wonderful day. The spirit was so strong in the room as the Bishop talked about what a great young man Calvin was and how he was worthy to receive the Aaronic Priesthood. I was fighting the tears the whole time but as he was ordained they finally won. He is a good boy and I love that he has kept himself worthy to follow in his Dad's footsteps. He loves his Savior and takes his responsiblity with humility and reference. It is so fun to see all sides of your children as they grow up. He also had an opportunity on Saturday to not only attend his first General Conference Priesthood Meeting with his Dad, but G'pa and G'ma got them tickets in the conference center, where they could actually see the prophet and the apostles! What a great experience to have! We love you Calvin!

More Birthday Fun!
The kids were told this year we were not going to have a party but they could invite a few friends over to celebrate. Corbyn had hers on Friday the 26th, and she had 3 friends: Jordan, Kate and Joslin over. They came and played after school, then we went and saw "Space Chimps" at the dollar show, then we got pizza and played at the "cool" park and had cake. Some "non-party!" At least I didn't do goodie bags, oh right I did those for her class of 25 kids! What a money saver this birthday was.( as Aaron would say: insert sarcasasm here!) Corbyn kept saying, "Mom, for my party, I mean for when my friends come over..." Yeah who is in charge here? Obviously once again, not me! It was a loud, emotional, and giggly good time. I guess it could be worse Karen, we could have triplet girls! :) The kids had a blast and it was the end to a great day when we enjoyed the sunset at the park. You can't beat a Utah sunset especially when you can see the Timpanogas Temple glowing in the valley below as the sky turns dark. The girls kept saying how beautiful it was, and I agreed. What a way to end the day!

Seven Going on Seventeen!
Happy Birthday Corby! We are so excited that you are 7 years old! We love your smiles, your big hugs, how you light up a room, and most of all your sense of humor. You always make us laugh. We know you love life and are so excited to experience every part of it with you! We hope you are always as happy as you are now and love life as much as you do. You are our sunshine and we know the world is a better place with you in it! I will be sad when you feel you are too old to play dress up and am glad, that day is not here yet. You are a daring "Fancy Nancy!" When I first read those books I couldn't help but think you were the little girl the author was writing about. You truly are a joyous and glamorous Madam Moselle (that's fancy for a happy and "movie-star" like fancy lady)
Happy Happy Birthday!
Calvin, happy birthday to the cutest, responsible, mature, thoughtful, and loving son in the world. We are so glad to have you in our family and can't believe it has already been 12 years! We have enjoyed all the jokes, camping trips, Webelos activities, pinewood derbies, hiking trips, swimming excursions, and especially all the late night talks. You are truly a wonderful son and we can't wait to enjoy the next twelve years! I am so proud of you for completing your Faith in God Award and being worthy to receive the priesthood. I can't believe my baby is turning twelve! We love you and are so lucky to share in all your growing up experiences. I hope you know we love you and always will, Happy Birthday!

Sleep? Who needs it?
This blog is dedicated to my brother, Aaron, and his inspiration in finding baby shirts. Chloe got a new shirt and we all think it fits her very well. She obviously is not weak! I have to say though, last week she slept for 7 hours at a time, 2 nights. They were not in a row but we will take any amount of sleep we can get around here. Notice Chloe's opinion of more sleep! She just sticks her tongue out and laughs.

Our new lawn boy
We are so excited about our new lawn boy. He is smart, funny, very handsome and best of all he mows the lawn on a diagonal! Yes you guessed it, Calvin is mowing the yard! I was in knots the whole time because although he is definitely mature enough his height is a little challenged. He actually has to jump up to push the lawn mower around to the next row and his 75 lbs doesn't help much either. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it one bit and actually likes the responsibility and the freedom of mowing himself. He was taught by the master so the finished product is a nice and neat checkerboard! His Dad,"master teacher", is so proud and he walked around all weekend saying how great Calvin is! Calvin was pretty proud of himself, as he should be! We love you Calvin and are so glad you are in our family! I am sure our lawn has never looked better!
Chloey Bo is 2 months!
